Q Standards
Boonton Radio Types 513-A and 518-A
These are reference standard inductors, primarily for calibration of 'Q Meters', that measure the Quality Factor of components and tuned circuits at their resonant frequency. In particular the 513-A and 518-A series (518-A1 through A5) are recommended for use with the Hewlett Packard 4342A Q Meter. [Ref: A history of the HP 4342A.]
While I was acquiring a set of Q Standards for my HP 4342A, I was lucky enough that two of them included the original data sheets — which I have scanned here.
