I have many documents I'm planning to scan.

Currently I'm working on the General Radio manual:
   'GRC Type 900-LB Precision Slotted Line'
the complete user manual for the instrument.

The RAR-archive form I'm using is a kind of experiment.

For many reasons, too involved to mention here, I don't much like PDF format.
What I really want is something that preserves the exact original appearance
of documents (like a scan image) but also includes the text in editor-selectable
form. So far I don't know of any such format. It's looking awfully like I'll have
to come up with something myself. Which is absurd.

Yes, I am keeping the original hi-res scans of all the documents I do, so for
whatever format I do finally settle on, I can rebundle all the ones I've done
up to that point.
