Up to 92 https://sites.google.com/site/wormycollected/Home ------------------------- 20140708 Comics mentioned in the Goblins-Thunt thread http://www.goblinsforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=517&start=1900 Good lord, why are all the good web comics on hiatus? Goblins? Check. Snow by night? Check. The Meek? Check forever. I guess Nimona is the only one out of this dreaded list. --- Order of the Stick is still going. And it's really good. No set update schedule, but it's most of the way finished, and it does update at a decent rate. http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots.html --- Unsounded: http://www.casualvillain.com/Unsounded/ Full marks for this one no matter how you score it -- a great immersive story that can be funny and terrifying (sometimes on the same page), three-dimensional characters who develop as the story unfolds, awesome art, detailed world-building, a well thought out entirely original magic system... And it updates exactly when Ashley Cope says it will, which is usually M/W/F except sometimes she'll post multiple pages and tell us she's going to skip, and there's a month's break between chapters to build up her buffer. Widdershins: http://www.widdershinscomic.com/ This one's lighter-hearted Victoriana fantasy. Amusing people having excellent adventures. A collection of linked short stories, each one complete in itself, building upon each other to tell a larger story. M/W/F updates are very rarely delayed. Rusty and Company: http://rustyandco.com/ A rust monster, a mimic, and a gelatinous cube form an adventuring party... Need I say more? Very funny. And it updates pretty regularly, each Wednesday. Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic: http://yafgc.net/ This link currently leads to a blank page because (I checked in the related forum) the artist is having computer problems that hit in the middle of home renovations, and he hasn't had time to get the site back up. Really good hand-penciled art, major characters that include a beholder, goblins, orcs, and drow being unabashedly, cheerfully, Evil. For many years it updated daily! Updates have been less frequent recently. It doesn't try to be emotionally involving, but most days it'll make you grin. There are several completed storylines, and the current one isn't at a point that'll leave you hanging. I'm including it here because when it does return, it's definitely worth checking out the archives. --- If you want something to keep you busy for a while: Requiem: a scifi graphic novel ( http://requiem.spiderforest.com/). Computer generated characters let the author update daily. Been going on for several years. Storyline is complex and pretty interesting. Some adult themes. In order to follow it, you have to start at the beginning. It really IS a graphic novel online, not a bunch of little stories. --- My top 2 comics right now are Grrl Power http://www.grrlpowercomic.com/ a very fun superhero comic that sometimes likes to poke fun at superhero comics and Gaia http://www.sandraandwoo.com/gaia/ which is a cute fantasy comic. Both comics update twice a week and have an actual plot right from the start --- My favorites that I'm currently keeping up with: Kill Six Billion Demons http://killsixbilliondemons.com/?comic= ... -chapter-1 An amazing and original fantasy world that you can become instantly a part of. It is really just getting started but there is plenty to drool about here already. The Zombie Hunters http://www.thezombiehunters.com/index.php?strip_id=1 A long-running webcomic with an absurdly regular update schedule twice a week. Great art. Memorable Characters. Unique story. Run Freak Run http://runfreakrun.com/runfreakrun/183/ Grim and stylistic, I only started reading this black-and-white comic a few weeks ago. Intrigued. Oglaf http://oglaf.com NSFW! But hilarious. This comic has had me laughing and then thinking about it days later and laughing even harder. Funniest webcomic I have ever read. Not for the prudish or faint-of-heart, however. --- Ava's Demon - Gorgeous art, interesting story, so much clicking. http://www.avasdemon.com/ Camp Weedonwantcha - Pretty cartoon-ey art, whimsical yet horrifying story, originally from the awesome "Strip Search" webshow. http://campcomic.com/ Clique Refresh - Very early on, so can't know it's story quality for sure, but it's light hearted and cartoon-ey. Also from Strip Search. http://cliquerefresh.com/ Flipside - Simple but generally attractive art, started out 50/50 between soft porn and a comic, and now it's got a great sprawling story and plenty of interesting characters. NSFW. http://flipside.keenspot.com/ Junior Scientist Power Hour - I don't even know. Hilarious hand drawn comics. http://www.jspowerhour.com/ The Last Halloween - Gorgeous hand drawn and utterly horrifying comic, also from Strip Search. Definitely NSFW for gore. http://www.last-halloween.com/ Let's Ask Violet - Thunt introduced me to this via a Twitter discussion with the author - decent art but great storytelling. http://www.letsaskviolet.com/ Oglaf - ...What everyone else said. NSFW. Very NSFW. Oh Joy, Sex Toy - Cartoon-ey and VERY NSFW comic about sex toys and other sex positive stuff. Again, NSFW, also probably Not Safe for Home. http://www.ohjoysextoy.com/ Penny Arcade - It's Penny Arcade. I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to read this given the notorious authors. http://www.penny-arcade.com/ Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal - Funny and intelligent. Describes itself as a budget XKCD...more art, less mechanics and a lot more p[philosophy and graph jokes. http://www.smbc-comics.com/ Sufficiently Remarkable - Intelligent, well drawn comic that came to the public eye with Strip Search. http://sufficientlyremarkable.com/ Weregeek - Thunt and the author of Weregeek, Alina Pete, are friends, and she makes an awesome story comic. http://www.weregeek.com/ XKCD - Look, it's XKCD, ok? --- What, has no one mentioned Skullkickers yet? http://comic.skullkickers.com/ I just found it, and burned through the entirety of the archives in the same day. It updates M/W/F. --- One of my favorite web comics. http://hominidscomic.com/ --- Biscuit wrote: My list: The Meek http://www.meekcomic.com/2008/12/27/chapter-1-cover/ Some pages are NSFW because the main protagonist... well, she likes to walk around naked, but the story is superb. Unfortunately, it's also on hiatus since 2012 :/ Derelict http://derelictcomic.com/?strip_id=0 Post-apocalypse story. With monsters. And stuff. Nimona http://gingerhaze.com/nimona/comic/page-1 One of my favorites. Uploads every Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Adventures of Dr. Mcninja http://drmcninja.com/ This comic is about a ninja from Ireland trained by Batman and Ben Franklin. He also rides a velociraptor named Yoshi. And he is a Doctor, of course. --- I've always enjoyed d20monkey... http://www.d20monkey.com/ ...and Gynostar (tho updates can be spotty). http://www.gynostar.com/ --- zombieroomie.com --- Well. there's http://supernormalstep.com which is a real nice anime styled comics http://www.widdershinscomic.com has a real interresting world going for it www.freakangels.com/ is just great! and finished! go read it. --- 6Gun Mage http://www.6gunmage.com/ and Misfile http://www.misfile.com/ both by the same author. 6Gun Mage just started a couple of months ago, and Misfile is been going for several years. General Protection Fault http://www.gpf-comics.com/ It helps a lot to start at the beginning, but that's 10+ years, and not absolutely necessary. Evil, Inc. http://evil-inc.com/ Superheroes and Supervillians. The Mansion of E http://mansionofe.comicgenesis.com/ rough art, good story - it has taken 10 years to cover roughly 2 days! Take that, 24! Quantum Vibe http://www.quantumvibe.com/ Adventures of a genetically engineered girl and her 400+ year old "grandfather". Kevin and Kell http://www.kevinandkell.com/ Anthropomorphic comic about a blended family - Rabbit marries wolf with cub, they adopt a hedgehog and have a baby. I also like his other comics: On The FastTrack http://www.onthefastrack.com/ and Safe Havens http://safehavenscomic.com/ --- http://www.Zebragirl.net A webcomic about a girl who gets transformed into a demon by accident. http://www.Skindeepcomic.com A story about a secret society of mythological creature hiding amongst us. http://www.Darkencomic.com First webcomic by the same lady writing Widdershins, you actually see her develop as a storyteller and artist which is cool. and it is finished. http://www.strongfemaleprotagonist.com A comic about a girl superhero who came out as a hero and decided to go to college after this. http://faith.rydia.net/ Demonology 101, a comic about an adopted demon girl who is confronted with her parentage throughout the story. Finished. www.splitlipcomic.com Horror comics, all excellent and creepy, a lot of complete stories. Great for World of Darkness inspiration. --- ttp://www.gocomics.com/pinkerton/2007/ ... -5aD6MdkkM http://www.erfworld.com/ http://www.girlgeniusonline.com http://spacetrawler.com http://fulltimeink.com http://www.thenoobcomic.com http://nickyitis.com/ http://xkcd.com/ http://www.bearnutscomic.com (this is one of my favorite comics of all times) http://www.heroesoflesserearth.com lastblood.keenspot.com http://wtbdignity.thecomicseries.com/comics/1 (Found it after doing a little digging, suppose they changed websites.) http://comic.nodwick.com/ http://www.stationv3.com http://www.kukuburi.com http://starslip.chainsawsuit.com/starsl ... -number-1/ http://abominable.cc/post/44164796353/episode-one http://www.dawnoftimecomics.com/index.php http://www.thezombiehunters.com/index.php http://www.endsnmeans.com ------------ "Will Save World for Gold." It's a D&D comic where, like Goblins, the characters are aware that the game mechanics are governing their actions, and they treat it like it's totally normal. Unlike Goblins, there don't seem to be players involved. Also unlike Goblins, it's based off 4th edition. If you like Goblins, and can stand the massive pixels that comprise the art, you might like it. "Weregeek" and "Guilded Age" are still going strong. I also recently discovered one called "Carbon Dating" about geeks and their real life issues with romance and relationships. It's a comic strip style, only a bit over 100 strips at the moment, but putting out two per week. Makes sciencey and geeky jokes alike. ------------ http://aclockworkparanoia.blogspot.com/ --------- Spinnerette Kiwi Blitz Order of the Stick (natch) Erfworld (o'course) The Last Halloween And from a bit further afield: Wake Up Deadman A Fairy Tale for the Demon Lord Both of these are Korean web comics, but you can find english translations on various manga sites. Make sure to visit the author's original site to show support, even if you can't read them there. The stories are good, but the art is just incredible.
